Good place with its free wi-fi, seasonal outdoor pool, and friendly staff. They helped me return my forgotten earphones on my first stay. I highly recommend trying the restaurant for a lovely meal. I'm coming back for a xmas.

The location of the hotel and views from its terrace and balcony of our room was spectacular. The children enjoyed the pool which was great as there wasn't really anywhere nearby in the lake where they could swim. The evening meal and breakfast were good but not exceptional.
We were quoted 130 euro by your booking company but were actually charged 140. We had actually left the hotel before I noticed this so I didn't have a chance to query. There really is no access to the shore from here as large houses have it completely blocked off to the public, unlike Lake Garda. However if you drive for ten mins or so there are a few villages and harbours where the lake shore is open but not fit for bathing.

Fine lake views from our Double Room. The nearby traffic noise was bothersome, especially at night.

This hotel offered a great location in front of lake of Como. Altough, it was only a hotel to rest during the night.

Fantastic view! nothing less than wonderful. Is was the most beautiful view to wake up to every morning! The room got cleaned good everyday and fresh towels where layed out everyday.
The personals english!! They hardly understood what we were saying in english. Also a better instruction on how to get to the hotel by public transport should be on their website. To any of you - take bus C10 from Como, and get of right after the sign, where it says you're driving into Laglio :)

The pool area was lovely with fine lake views, but the breakfast could really use more variety. Sweet experience, mate!

The hotel had a nice view of Lake Como from the resturant terrace. The room had its own balcony which overlooked Lake Como. The hotel had its own resturant making it easy to get food.
The hotel is located on quite a busy road

Loved the view from our balcony. Very comfortable beds. Buffet breakfast was quick and easy to access with good choice. Bus stop right opposite hotel. Perfect location for short stay.
Lack of hot water pressure in hand basin (shower ok). Main road which was difficult to cross with no pavement.. Nowhere to walk to easily and explore. Not ideal location for .long stay with children .

The location is perfect right by the lake, super easy walk to nice restaurants. The rooms were clean and comfy, and the staff were really friendly. Good beds for a nice rest after a long day. Enjoyed taking a dip in the pool. Overall price value is ok for what you get.
The traffic noise from the road was a bit annoying and could bother some people. The breakfast could've had more options and better coffee.

Our room was clean and spacious but the mattress was uncomfortable - the price was reasonable and the on site restaurant handy overlooking lake como.
Several adult friends of ours were also booked here but 2 were given small bunk beds only fit for children - when they complained, the manager told them that if they dont like it, they can go elsewhere as they had already paid for the night! I think they could have been more diplomatic and they should mention the bunk beds before reservations are made.

The pool area was lovely, with magnificent views of the lake, making it a perfect spot to unwind after a long day. I loved our room's air conditioning and the cold beers by the pool. the breakfast could use more variety and improvement.

Well situated.
Very noisy room under the kitchen. Also lot of noise coming from the street. Poor breakfast and very bad pizzas.

For a hotel with a pool, decent restaurant and views of the lake, the San Marino is excellent value. It is not the latest in luxury but is quite well looked after. A car is almost essential, as even reaching Laglio village and the lakeside means negotiating a busy road with no pavements and quite demanding long flights of cobbled steps. Buses run to Como or Menaggio at least hourly from outside the hotel though.
NB. I booked single room, not quadruple as shown!
